We believe in supporting agencies and organizations that benefit the gay community.
We believe in the need to promote and acknowledge individual initiative, growth, and achievement through education.
Organizational Accomplishments
The Gateway Gay Rodeo Association is a non-profit organization incorporated since March 2004 in the State of Missouri. We are registered with the Missouri State Attorney General's Office as a charitable organization soliciting funds in the State of Missouri.
The Association was granted 501c4 status by the IRS in April of 2006.
The Association has Standing Rules using as models the proven, effective standing rules of other successful, strong gay rodeo associations.
Our members` strong commitment is easily seen in the high percentage - consistently more than 25% - of our membership`s attendance and active participation at monthly meetings.
Our members have successfully produced their first Gay Rodeo in the St. Louis area on May 6 & 7, 2006.
ST. LOUIS: THE GATEWAY TO THE WEST
This is where the West truly began!
Founded in 1763, St. Louis became the outfitting and starting point for the countless pioneers and immigrants who crossed the Mississippi River and began their long journeys westward in search of a new life. Their spirit and determination, gave rise to other great cities of the West.
To honor those, the 630 foot stainless steel Gateway Arch was erected and stands proudly over St. Louis. This is how we became known as “The Gateway to the West.”

The Gateway Gay Rodeo Association is an organization of over one hundred men and women from eastern Missouri and southwestern Illinois drawn together by a shared enthusiasm of rodeo and the western lifestyle. We are committed to promoting gay rodeo - a rodeo and lifestyle open to all people.

Where are we located?
GWGRA is located in the eastern portion of Missouri. Our current territory is:

We came together to bring gay rodeo to America`s Gateway to the West. We have succeeded in our goal and will work to further build our association and produce successful rodeos each year.
